About Us

We are a small, family run, specialty flower farm in the village of Paeonian Springs in Loudoun County, VA, just minutes from Leesburg and Purcellville. We take pride in providing the best possible quality, beautiful, and sustainably grown flowers either direct to consumers through a seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscriptions, custom orders, bouquet bars, events, bulk buckets, wholesale for industry professionals and seasonal wreaths and decor. I (Lana) was bit by the dahlia bug almost a decade ago and that journey has brought me here.

Our Name

Our name comes from the many, little wrens that have lived on our property, they have been a constant for the ten years we have lived here, often with multiple nests and families at a time living here. Their trills and chattering are a constant soundtrack above us while we work outside, their antics always providing entertainment since they’re such funny little birds with big personalities. They are insectivores which is an important part of the ecosystem; the wrens help keep our flowers healthy and pest free which is the best natural pest control.

We strive to be as sustainable as possible using only minimal, organic products and try to be as pollinator friendly as possible. I only use a couple organic pesticides and fungicides that are either carefully applied in a way to avoid harming pollinators or that won’t affect them at all, plus using physical barriers against pests when possible. No synthetic products are used in our garden and a few are even food grade products.

Soil health is another important part of our growing system since beneficial organisms are in the soil too. If the garden supports the ecosystem, the beneficial organisms will support the garden. We employ no-till practices using locally sourced compost to amend beds, concentrating on promoting root development and mycorrhizal fungi.

We only use food grade wax brown paper for bouquet wraps and strive to use almost no single use, non compostable plastic.
